About The Role
Hours per week: Monday to Friday, 6am until 2pm.
Specialist Window Cleaning (SWC), part of the OCS Group, are currently recruiting for an IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician with window cleaning experience to join our team to work on various commercial and residential buildings in and around Manchester.
We provide Commercial and Retail clients with industry-leading service levels via our highly trained teams who are here to provide the best for our customers, across all sectors.
We are looking for a keen, hardworking individual who also has the ability to plan, schedule, and survey sites.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Have full working knowledge of the areas in the building which are covered by the services run by SWC Ltd/OCS.
- To carry out site surveys and have the ability to create Risk assessments and method statements from the information.
- To carry out works scheduled in a timely, safe manner.
- Report any near misses or accidents to the line manager and the on-site team.
- A Level 3 technician role will be key to report on any defects and log works to the line manager, which will then be sent directly to the client.
- Ensure that all equipment is in safe working order, checked regularly, and serviced.
- Report any faults to supervisor/management.
- Comply with all Company & Client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire, and COSHH. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your workplace.
- Follow client/company guidelines with regards to the identification and reporting of health and safety hazards e.g., blocked/locked fire doors.
- Communicate well and demonstrate a pleasant, polite, efficient, caring, and friendly service to customers and clients in all areas of service, which SWC Ltd provides.
- Report any customer complaints or compliments and take some remedial action if at all possible.
- Report immediately any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, or other irregularities to the Line Manager/supervisor.
- Carry out other reasonable tasks as directed by management.

Key Result Indicators:
- All cleaning and hygiene standards to meet service specification.
- Deliver a consistent level of service, within the Company's standards, to the contract specification and agreed performance levels.
- Comply with Company and statutory regulations relating to safe systems of work, health & safety, hygiene, cleanliness, fire, and COSHH.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
- You must have the Right to Work in the UK.
- You will hold an IRATA Level 3 certificate and completed First Aid training.
- You will hold a clean valid UK Driving License.
- You will have experience in window cleaning and in working at height on commercial properties.
- You will have the ability to communicate with people of all levels including clients and internal contacts.
- You must have the ability to work well on your own, be self-sufficient and motivated while also being comfortable working as part of a team and following instruction.
