JOB TITLE: IRATA Rope Access Technician L1 | Contract from 10th - 28th Aug 2026 - 10 hours a day.

PLEASE NOTE: You must be local to Teeside - Accommodation not provided

Overall Purpose of Role:

IRATA Level 1 Technician is able to perform a specified range of rope access tasks under the supervision of an IRATA L3, they will support the Level 3 and carry out any requested works in a safe and professional manner as per company standards. The IRATA L1 will also ensure they work in-line with the IRATA ICOP and Applus UK Ltd Safe Working Operating Procedure. The role is all in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures to deliver the highest safety quality and business management standards.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

The Roles and Responsibilities of the IRATA Level 1 will include but not be limited to:

  • Maintain safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concerns.
  • Technicians will be working on buildings or structures doing repair, inspection, FM, cleaning or maintenance work plus any reasonable additional task as required by Operations Team.
  • Performing routine maintenance.
  • Undergone and passed the training and assessment for Level 1.
  • Perform specified range of rope access tasks.
  • Work under the supervision of a Level 3.
  • Able to understand and follow the rope access procedures, method statements and risk assessments.
  • Responsible in the pre-use checks of his own rope access equipment.
  • Assist in rigging and other operations under the guidance of higher grade/level.
  • Undertake simple rescue in descent and also assist in rescue operation.
  • To carry out industrial rope access work based on his trade and skills.
  • Able to operate simple machines and equipment.
  • Possess good communication and organisational skills, with an emphasis on team work.
  • Display positive attitude towards safety, training and environment.
  • Takes pride in professionalism and a customer-centred focus.

Qualifications and Experiences

Essential:

  • IRATA Level 1 Certification
  • CCNSG, IOSHH or Safety Passport Equivalent
  • Physically Fit to undertake work
  • Ability to comfortably and safely work at height
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Ability to work in a team and follow instructions
