Joining TUI Airways as Roster Production Executive

You will become part of the team responsible for the planning, rostering & operational delivery of the flying programme for TUI Airways. You will utilise resources as efficiently as possible whilst ensuring flying requirements comply with legal & industrial agreements and that budgetary restrictions are met.

You will report directly into the Flight Crew Rostering Team Leader within your role.

Once fully trained, we are happy to consider a hybrid model for this role, with approximately 50% of your time spent onsite at our Luton office (this will depend on operational deadlines). During your training period (approx. 2 months), you will be based fully onsite. This role is offered on a Fixed Term Contract basis to the end of May 2028.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Utilising the Airline Rostering Systems produce timely, legally compliant crew rosters in accordance with Scheduling Agreements
  • Producing statistics measuring financial and quality targets on a monthly, seasonal, and annual basis
  • Completing legality and quality checks on all crew rosters against defined parameters ensuring departmental output is correct and appropriate for business needs
  • Completing legality and quality checks prior to roster publication, undertaking travel alignment, and publishing final rosters to crew
  • Investigating and responding to queries from crew with regards to their published rosters, actively participating in meetings and workshops as required
  • Interpreting scheduling agreements, suggesting changes, and identifying opportunities for improving utilisation and reducing overall establishment. Providing input to relevant business improvement initiatives and trade union debate
  • Raising and documenting system issues with the IT department
  • Managing the updating of User Guides and Specifications for Optimisation Systems ensuring all documentation remains up to date regarding systems or process changes
  • Maintaining relevant sections in the departmental handbook
  • Undertaking departmental training to meet legal FTL requirements and other training needs as identified by departmental managers
  • Participating in meetings and workshops as necessary to continue to drive operational efficiency
  • Undertaking departmental auditing activities as directed by the audit teams

ABOUT YOU

  • IT literate with a minimum of O’ Level/GCSE education or equivalent relevant experience
  • Proven experience within an airline Crewing/Rostering environment is desired
  • Previous experience in a customer service-based role
  • Understanding of airline legal agreements would be preferable
  • Process and detail orientated with excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure; assimilate information, determine priorities, and make decisions based on sound judgement
  • Strong inter-personal and excellent communication skills, written and oral
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • An enthusiastic ambassador of change who makes suggestions for improvement
  • An Individual with the drive and ambition to better themselves and an effective change agent
