About the Role
The Physiotherapy department at Kings College Hospital is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic physiotherapist to join the rotation of Band 6 physiotherapists, specialising in respiratory care across inpatient settings. The in-patient respiratory team is split into 3 teams, each with their own Clinical Leads Physiotherapists. The teams are Critical Care, Respiratory Medicine, and Cystic Fibrosis.
The post holder will ensure a high standard, efficient and effective physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and intervention for all patients designated to them. They will prioritise, assess, treat, and manage their own caseload of patients as an autonomous practitioner, including the maintenance of comprehensive records.
They will work as an effective team member, communicating appropriately with patients, carers, and other team members as required, as well as teaching and developing Band 5 physiotherapists, students, and physiotherapy assistants within the respiratory teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
