ESNEFT Colchester Hospital Maternity Services are looking for enthusiastic and committed Band 6 Midwives to join our friendly and dedicated team.
About the Role
As a Band 6 Rotational Midwife, you will have the opportunity to work across the maternity service, gaining valuable experience in a variety of clinical areas and supporting women and families throughout their maternity journey.
You will work closely with women, their families and the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT) to provide safe, personalised and high-quality maternity care. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about midwifery, committed to delivering excellent standards of care and who demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a high standard of individualised care in the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal period in the hospital setting.
- Assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care, without supervision.
- Teach other midwifery and non-midwifery staff.
- Take charge regularly of award or equivalent sphere of midwifery care in the absence of the midwife who has continuing responsibility.
