Band 5 Occupational Therapist

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our Therapy team at Grantham and District Hospital part of United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT).

Rotations are approximately 6 months in each speciality and include: Medicine, Orthopaedics and Surgery.

You will work as part of a supportive 7-day therapy service, developing core Occupational Therapy skills while building confidence across diverse clinical settings. ULHT operates an integrated Therapy Service with a strong emphasis on rehabilitation, early intervention, and prevention of deconditioning. We are committed to delivering high-quality, personalised care across inpatient wards, outpatient services, and community settings. Throughout your rotations, you will be fully supported by a large, experienced, and collaborative therapy team.

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our well-established team of over 60 Integrated Therapy staff. You will provide high standard Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment interventions within an integrated therapy team. These rotational positions offer an important opportunity and challenging career move for you to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge. As a department we are committed to excellence and provide regular staff supervision and appraisal. The department also supports occupational therapy students.

All Occupational Therapist benefit from protected CPD time, as well as the opportunity to attend locally organised courses run by nationally accredited tutors.

The post-holder’s base will be Pilgrim Hospital in Boston with an expectation to travel and work on at least one other site. The other site will most likely be Lincoln County Hospital, Lincoln.

Grantham and District Hospital serves the communities of Grantham and the local area. It provides ambulatory paediatric and accident and emergency services.

Pilgrim Hospital is situated beautiful countryside and serves the communities in the South Lincolnshire area. It provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service.

Lincoln Hospital is a thriving university city and with the opening of the medical school, it provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service

United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust has been granted teaching hospital status, after demonstrating evidence to significant teaching commitment. From now on it will be known as United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county.
