As a Band 7 Radiographer
You are tasked with providing a high standard of clinical work when carrying out radiographic procedures.
Responsibilities
- Deputising in the modalities that you are working in
- Providing an expert level of knowledge in a fast-paced imaging department
Duties in CT
- Vetting outpatient requests
- Managing CT admin tasks, such as organising interventional procedures
- Ensuring the efficient service of the inpatient and outpatient scanners
- Effective communication skills are vital due to the multidisciplinary nature of the work
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with our clinical governance framework
- Motivate colleagues
- Champion service user safety and dignity
- Drive continuous improvement
Duties
- Carry out radiographic examinations across a range of modalities to the agreed standard of the department
- Maintain a high standard of patient care and comfort and be patient focused at all times
- Liaise and communicate effectively with other staff both within and external to the department regarding patient care and ensure that effective communication is implemented and maintained
- Be actively involved in the department audit and quality assurance programme
- Deputise for more senior radiographers as and when required
- Undertake any formal or informal training required to fulfil the needs of the post
- Expand and update your own technical and professional skills
- Assist in the clinical instruction and assessment of student radiographers
