Are you an experienced Head Chef who thrives on variety, enjoys being challenged and has the confidence to walk into a kitchen and make a positive difference?

We're looking for a talented and adaptable Roving Head Chef to join the Brunning & Price family.

This is a senior chef role for someone who is ready to take their experience to the next level. You'll be an important part of our wider kitchen operation, providing support, leadership and expertise to our Head Chefs across the business.

Rather than having one kitchen to call your own, you'll have the opportunity to work across a variety of our beautiful pubs, supporting teams when they need you most, helping maintain our high standards and bringing fresh ideas and energy wherever you go. The role will cover 11 pubs, from Manchester, Wirral, to Clitheroe, Preston, Kirkby Lonsdale and Harrogate to name a few. From time to time the position will involve working away from home but we’ll always be flexible where we can.

As a Roving Head Chef, you'll be trusted to step into different kitchens and quickly understand what they need.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You might be supporting a pub through a particularly busy period, covering an absence or vacancy, or simply providing additional support when it's needed.

This role would suit an experienced Senior Sous or Head Chef who loves variety and doesn't want to be tied to the same kitchen every day. Perhaps you're already a successful Head Chef and you're looking for something different.

Most importantly, you'll be someone our Exec Chef and kitchen teams can rely on.

We want our Roving Head Chef to be the person a Head Chef is pleased to see walking through the kitchen door — someone who brings experience, support, ideas, reassurance and positivity.

You'll be joining a business that puts great food, great pubs and great people at the heart of what we do.

There’s plenty in it for you:
