Roving Surgical Vet For Area 19, West Midlands

Up to £75,000 (DOE)

At inspiring vet care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As the UK’s number one vet care provider, we're trusted with the care of over 2 million animals, delivering our purpose of healthier animals and happier owners.

Our fantastic Area 19 is looking for a permanent roving vet with a surgical bias to work across our brilliant practices, which are predominantly located across the West Midlands. The role offers a diverse surgical caseload, but you’ll need to be West Midlands-based, with extensive travel between our sites. Ideally, we’re looking for someone to work 40 hours over four days, including some Saturdays. However, we’re also happy to consider supporting part-time applications. There’s truly no better time to join Inspiring Pet Care, as we’ve started our estate-wide rebrand, launched our first TV advert, and introduced our new TV programme, The Joys of Pets. It’s all very exciting!

About Area 19

Our region is made up of the following brands: Pool House Vets, Lockwood Vet Group, Island Vets, St George’s Vet Group and Hillman Vet Group. One of the key benefits of having such a large network of practices across our region is the wealth of knowledge and experience we can share. You’ll have the opportunity to tap into this by working alongside our outstanding team of clinicians across all of our sites. You’ll also have the support of a dedicated regional leadership team, including our Area Support Manager and Area Director, as well as the established leadership teams within each individual brand. Our practices are fully equipped with the modern facilities you'd expect, including digital X-rays (including SignalPET AI-assisted interpretation), ultrasound, an IM3 dental machines and in-house laboratories, to name just a few.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
