Job Description:
Our purpose is to bring together people, energy and markets to power and navigate a changing world. In a time of constant change and possibility we need new talent to pursue commercial opportunities, fuelled by world-class insight and expertise. We’re always striving for more innovative digital solutions, sustainable outcomes and closer collaboration across our company and beyond, and you could be part of that too.
About the Role:
As Castrol establishes itself as a standalone company, we're looking for a Talent Advisor to help shape and deliver key talent, leadership, culture, and development initiatives across the business. You'll work closely with senior leaders, P&C Business Partners, and global talent colleagues to build the capabilities, leadership pipelines, and culture needed to drive business success.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, coordinating meaningful people-focused initiatives, and using insight to support better talent and development outcomes.
This is a role within the Castrol organisation and the successful candidate will become part of the Castrol ring-fence. If you are part of the ring-fence, it is expected that your employment will move with Castrol to new ownership.
What You Will Do:
- Supporting talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
- Partnering with business leaders to identify capability gaps and development priorities.
- Coordinating key talent programmes, including Early Careers and leadership development pathways.
- Delivering culture, performance and organisational development initiatives that strengthen engagement, retention and capability.
- Managing external learning, coaching, assessment, and development partners.
- Using talent data and insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Supporting programme governance, reporting, continuous improvement, and budget activities.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across Talent, P&C, and the wider business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
