Rapid Auto Assist is one of the UK's leading accident management and credit hire providers, delivering replacement vehicles, claims management and recovery solutions to motorists, taxi drivers and commercial clients nationwide. Our reputation is built on providing a fast, professional and customer-focused service that keeps our clients moving following a non-fault accident.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior RTA Claims Handler to join our growing Claims Team.
As a Senior RTA Claims Handler, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of non-fault road traffic accident claims from initial notification through to settlement or litigation referral. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced claims professional looking to progress their career within a dynamic and expanding business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of non-fault motor and credit hire claims from inception through to conclusion.
- Investigate accident circumstances and assess liability using available evidence.
- Liaise with customers, insurers, solicitors, engineers, repairers and other stakeholders.
- Manage credit hire requirements, ensuring mitigation and recoverability principles are maintained.
- Coordinate vehicle repairs, engineering inspections and total loss settlements.
- Negotiate liability and settlement outcomes with third-party insurers.
- Identify and escalate fraud concerns, indemnity issues and recovery risks.
- Prepare and review payment packs, invoices and supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate, compliant and audit-ready claim files.
- Provide guidance and support to Claims Handlers on complex or disputed cases.
- Assist management in maintaining service standards, file quality and operational performance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
