  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, investigate reconciling items and support the timely resolution of outstanding balances.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and investigate outstanding or unusual items.
  • Perform intercompany accounting activities, including reconciliation of balances and investigation of differences.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities, ensuring assigned tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Review accounting transactions and supporting documentation, escalating complex or unusual items where appropriate.
  • Prepare variance analysis and provide clear commentary on movements in assigned balance sheet accounts and period-end results.
  • Prepare schedules and supporting information for internal and external reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and completeness ahead of submission deadlines.
  • Maintain appropriate accounting documentation and supporting evidence in line with GFS standards and control requirements.

Governance & Controls

  • Perform accounting activities in accordance with established policies, procedures and internal control requirements.
  • Support the implementation of accounting policies, reporting requirements and process changes.
  • Prepare information and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Respond to audit queries and support the resolution of identified issues.
  • Identify accounting, reconciliation or control issues and escalate them to the Senior Accountant or Divisional Controller as appropriate.
  • Contribute to improvements in accounting processes, controls and reporting quality.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
