Reconciliations Manager

Manchester | Hybrid Working (2 days in office) | £68,000 + Benefits

Mackie Myers are partnering with a large, complex consumer-facing organisation to recruit a RtR Reconciliations Manager into a high-profile finance function. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market-leading business undergoing significant transformation and process improvement activity.

Leading a team of finance professionals, you'll take ownership of balance sheet integrity, reconciliation controls and process excellence, whilst playing a key role in driving automation and continuous improvement initiatives across the wider finance function.

The Role

Reporting into senior finance leadership, responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing a team responsible for complex balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
  • Ensuring accurate, timely and compliant month-end close processes.
  • Driving improvements across reconciliation processes, controls and governance frameworks.
  • Supporting the implementation and optimisation of finance systems and automation tools.
  • Working closely with Financial Control, Treasury, Reporting and Business Partnering teams to resolve complex accounting issues.
  • Taking ownership of balance sheet risk management and control remediation activities.
  • Providing meaningful insight and analysis to senior stakeholders.
  • Developing and mentoring a growing team within a fast-paced environment.

About You

We're looking for an experienced finance leader who can operate in a complex, high-volume environment.

You will likely be:

  • Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Experienced leading a team of 3 + (essential)
  • Experienced in leading reconciliation, controls or financial accounting teams.
  • Comfortable managing large volumes of transactions within a complex organisation.
  • Strong technically with excellent balance sheet and control experience.
  • Experienced in delivering process improvement and automation initiatives.
  • A confident stakeholder manager, able to influence and challenge senior colleagues.
  • Passionate about developing people and building high-performing teams.
