RTT Validator for ENT and Sleep Surgical Services
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented RTT Validator to support our Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) and Sleep Surgical Services. This role is key to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Referral to Treatment (RTT) pathways, helping the service deliver timely, high-quality care for patients.
Working as part of a collaborative administrative and clinical team, the postholder will be responsible for validating RTT data, booking patients and pathways, identifying pathway discrepancies, and supporting the effective tracking and management of patient journeys.
You will play an important role in ensuring compliance with national RTT standards and contributing to continuous service improvement.
The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
You will be supported within a positive, team-focused environment where accuracy, shared learning, and continuous improvement are encouraged.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in RTT validation or healthcare administration who is committed to delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centred services.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate and accurately track patient pathways in line with RTT (18-week) rules, ensuring data quality and compliance across ENT and Sleep services.
- Review, analyse and update patient records on electronic systems (e.g. Epic) to maintain accurate and complete pathway information.
- Identify and resolve pathway discrepancies, proactively escalating potential breaches and supporting timely patient care.
- Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to gather information and ensure patient pathways are correctly recorded and managed.
- Support and advise colleagues on RTT rules and pathway management, contributing to shared learning and continuous improvement.
- Regularly validate waiting lists and contribute to performance reporting and data quality initiatives.
- Book, reschedule and manage patient appointments and admissions in line with RTT targets and service requirements, ensuring a patient-centred and efficient booking process.
- Maintain high standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and patient-focused care at all times.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
