The Role

Assist in the development of categories of the Women’s Leather Goods and RTW collections. Ensure the timely development and delivery of the range from prototype development through to production, in line with the critical path.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist and support the Product Development Team through the whole lifecycle of the product, from Design Brief to Showroom Sample.
  • Take responsibility for the accurate bulk and production Bill of Materials (BOM) completion.
  • Support the Product developers and Raw material developer for the compilation of the BOM on centric (creation of styles/materials) and amend BOMs as required during development to ensure it accurately represents all components required to manufacture.
  • Use technical experience to support the Garment tech in the development of the collection to deliver SRS meeting our quality standards.
  • Manage DHL shipments for the development team (Garment tech, Raw material Developer & Product Developers).
  • Support the Garment tech manager in ensuring the products perform to Mulberry strict quality standards.
  • Build up the Product Specification Sheets (PSS) with constructional items, amend PSS as required during development to ensure it accurately represents all components required to manufacture.
  • Assist the Garment tech manager in the life cycle of the samples and spec requirements (measurements, tech packs) to effectively handover to production to the correct standard.
  • Support the development team in PO creation, invoicing, supplier creation in the system, ensuring that all our partners are paid on time.
  • Help the RM developer with pricing, filing, and other material tasks.

Skills and Knowledge Required

  • Experience in the leather/woven RTW and accessory industry within a technical discipline.
  • Knowledge of Centric/ROOTLINE - PD computer program or similar ERP system.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Proven ability in producing accurate work with attention to detail.
  • Ability to keep calm under pressure, always retaining a friendly and positive can-do attitude.
  • Adaptable: can adopt a flexible approach to work and adapt quickly and effectively to unexpected changes whilst ensuring objectives are met, particularly to cater for peaks in business demands.
