Full Stack Ruby on Rails Engineer

London Hybrid (1 – 2 days a week in the office)

£55,000–£75,000 (Depending on experience)

We're partnering with an ambitious and fast-growing digital learning business to find a talented Full Stack Ruby on Rails Engineer who wants to build products that genuinely make a difference.

This is an opportunity to join a small, high-performing team where you'll have real ownership, influence technical direction, and help shape the next generation of an established online platform, alongside the development of an exciting new product.

What you'll be doing

  • Building and enhancing a Ruby on Rails platform used by a growing community of customers
  • Working across the full stack to deliver high-quality, customer-focused features
  • Collaborating with founders, product and design teams to shape product direction
  • Taking ownership of technical solutions from concept through to delivery
  • Improving architecture, performance and scalability as the platform grows
  • Leveraging modern AI development tools to increase engineering efficiency and quality

We're looking for someone with

  • 5+ years' commercial Ruby on Rails experience
  • Strong full stack development skills
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks
  • PostgreSQL, REST APIs and background processing
  • Stripe or similar payment platform integrations
  • Experience using AI-enabled engineering tools as part of your workflow
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for building well-crafted software
