Ruby Engineer
Manchester & Hybrid Remote
We’re working with a fast-growing SaaS technology business that is transforming the warehouse management industry through innovative cloud-based software.
They’re looking for a Ruby Engineer to join their collaborative engineering team and help build, improve and maintain their core SaaS platform.
What you’ll be doing
- Developing and enhancing features using Ruby / Ruby on Rails
- Writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code
- Working closely with Developers, QA and Product teams in an agile environment
- Contributing to code reviews, bug fixes and system improvements
- Working with APIs, databases and cloud technologies
- Supporting CI/CD, deployments and application performance

What we’re looking for
- Commercial experience with Ruby
- Some experience with Ruby on Rails
- Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB
- Familiarity with RSpec, Git and APIs
- Exposure to AWS, Docker and CI/CD
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum and secure coding practices
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
