Rugby Coach - Part Time, Term Time Only

Lions Sports Academy is looking for an enthusiastic, confident and caring Rugby Coach to join our growing team in the Ealing/London area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves sport, enjoys working with children and young people, and wants to make a genuine difference through physical activity. A key part of the role will be creating a positive, welcoming environment as well as helping players develop their skills, self-belief and enjoyment of physical activity.
The Role
As a Rugby Coach with Lions Sports Academy, you’ll deliver engaging, high-quality rugby sessions within one of our partner schools in Ealing. You’ll work with players of varying ages and abilities, helping them build strong technical foundations while creating an environment where they feel confident, supported and excited to take part.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Delivering fun, structured and progressive rugby coaching sessions
- Developing core skills including passing, catching, tackling, evasion, decision-making and game awareness
- Creating an inclusive environment where every player feels involved and valued
- Encouraging teamwork, confidence, resilience and a positive attitude
- Managing groups safely and effectively
- Supporting fixtures, games and wider school sporting activities where required
- Acting as a positive role model for pupils at all times
- Communicating professionally with school staff, Lions Sports Academy and other coaches

About You
We’re looking for someone who is energetic, reliable and passionate about helping young people enjoy rugby.
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous rugby coaching or playing experience
- Experience working with children or young people
- A confident and engaging coaching style
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- The ability to manage groups positively and professionally
- A genuine passion for player development
- A reliable and proactive approach
- An RFU coaching qualification or other relevant coaching qualification would be advantageous
Above all, we’re looking for someone who understands that great coaching is about much more than simply improving sporting ability. It’s about building confidence, creating positive experiences and helping young people develop both on and off the pitch.
