About the Company
This Partner led firm provides property and business consultancy services on a regional basis across Northern England and Southern Scotland. They have a team of 70+ that operate from their three offices providing innovative solutions for their clients across the residential, commercial, rural and development sectors.
About the Role
The firm are looking for a motivated and professional Rural Surveyor (RICS qualified). This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career within one of the Norths leading multidisciplinary property consultancies, working alongside experienced surveyors, planners and property professionals across a diverse range of rural estates, farms and landholdings. You will provide advice on a broad spectrum of rural property matters, including estate management, landlord and tenant issues, valuations, diversification projects, compensation and strategic business planning. Working closely with clients, you’ll help them navigate challenges, identify opportunities and maximise the value of their assets. Responsibilities
- Engage with a variety of clients across different jobs and provide sound reasoned advice.
- Effectively network, create and secure new professional and client contacts and generate new instructions.
- Manage members of the team, providing advice, guidance mentoring, personal development plans and direction.
- Positively assess and restructure farm business needs obtaining the best possible result for the client.
- Create accurate and reliable valuations and reports.
- Act on behalf of clients on the sale and acquisition of property, land, farms and estates on behalf of clients.
- Oversee the management of residential, commercial, agricultural and sporting property.
- Negotiate compensation and Compulsory Purchase for landowners across a wide variety of projects.
- Landlord and Tenant work including new lettings, rent reviews, tenancy renewals for both AHA and FBT agreements.

Qualifications
- MRICS accreditation.
Required Skills
- Have a clear and practical understanding of solid agricultural knowledge and a passion for farming and rural business.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively at all levels.
- Have a full clean driving licence.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a busy team showing energy, enthusiasm and ambition.
- Have a thorough understanding of compliance and the correct procedures to follow.
Pay range and compensation package
- £50,000 - £70,000 basic salary depending on experience
- Excellent working environment with flexible working.
