Surveyor - Utilities & Rural Property
Location: Northumberland
Contract Type: Permanent
Our client, a leading land agency and chartered surveying practice, is seeking an MRICS qualified Surveyor to join their Morpeth office. This is an excellent opportunity to work across utilities, infrastructure and rural property projects while developing your career with a practice that prioritises professional development and flexible working.
Position Overview
You'll deliver land referencing and acquisition work for pipeline and utilities projects, negotiate compensation claims, and undertake rural property appraisals. This varied role combines technical surveying with client liaison, offering direct involvement in infrastructure projects and rural property transactions across the region.

Responsibilities
- Deliver land referencing for pipeline and utilities projects
- Liaise with landowners to secure project access
- Negotiate compensation claims and complete CPO acquisitions
- Undertake rural property appraisals and valuations
- Maintain records and provide progress reports to clients
- Support and mentor trainee surveyors and land agents
- Identify new business opportunities across the sector
Requirements
- MRICS qualified
- Experience in utilities, infrastructure or rural property sectors
- Strong negotiation and client liaison skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Full UK driving licence
