Rural Surveyor/Land Agent

Based in Beauly, Highlands (Hybrid Working Available)

For this role we are offering an introductory bonus and help with moving costs for the right candidate.

Build your career in one of Scotland’s most diverse rural landscapes. Bell Ingram is looking for a Rural Surveyor / Land Agent to join our friendly and experienced team in Beauly.

Whether you’re an MRICS-qualified Surveyor, working towards professional qualification, or have strong relevant experience in rural property, this is an opportunity to work on an exceptional range of projects across the Highlands while developing your career with one of the UK’s leading independent firms of rural business specialists.

From traditional estate management and valuations to renewable energy, natural capital and strategic land advice, you’ll work with a diverse client base including private estates, farmers, landowners, businesses and public sector organisations. With genuine responsibility, varied work and excellent support for professional development, this is a role where you can build long-term client relationships while continuing to grow your expertise.

The Role

No two days are the same. Working as part of our Highland team, you’ll manage and support a varied portfolio of rural clients, delivering professional advice across a broad range of rural surveying disciplines. Depending on your experience, you’ll take ownership of client relationships while developing your technical and commercial expertise.

Your work will include:

  • Estate management for rural estates, farms and private clients.
  • Rural property sales, acquisitions and landlord & tenant matters.
  • RICS Red Book valuations and property appraisals.
  • Compensation, servitudes and wayleave negotiations.
  • Advising on renewable energy projects including wind, hydro, solar and battery storage.
  • Strategic land management advice covering forestry, natural capital and diversification opportunities.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
