Interior Designer — London

VMD STUDIO is looking for a London-based Interior Designer to join our team and support the delivery of high-end residential interior projects across the UK.

We are looking for a hands-on designer with strong technical skills, a good eye for design, and the ability to work independently within a clear creative direction.

This is not an administrative assistant position. The role is suited to someone who is confident working across space planning, SketchUp, technical drawings, presentations, material sourcing and site support.

You will work closely with the Creative Director, Project Manager and external design team, supporting projects from early planning and design development through to implementation on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop initial space-planning proposals based on a clear project brief
  • Prepare and amend floor plans, elevations and technical drawings
  • Create and develop SketchUp models
  • Produce professional moodboards, presentations and design boards
  • Source relevant visual references in line with the project concept and aesthetic
  • Assist with the development of smaller residential projects
  • Source materials, finishes, fabrics and samples
  • Visit suppliers and showrooms across London
  • Attend project sites and document progress
  • Review site work against approved drawings and design documentation
  • Identify visible discrepancies or potential issues and communicate them promptly to the senior design team
  • Take clear site photographs, measurements and notes
  • Prepare site reports and lists of outstanding questions
  • Communicate with contractors, suppliers and consultants where required
  • Support the Creative Director and wider team with day-to-day project development and implementation

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
