Salary: £90,000 - £120,000
The Opportunity
Our client is a high-performance proprietary trading firm specialising in quantitative sports trading. They're looking for an experienced Operations Manager / COO to work alongside the Founder & Chief Investment Officer, taking ownership of the day-to-day running of the trading operation.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building processes, solving problems and keeping a fast-moving business running efficiently. You'll work across trading, risk, operations and technology, ensuring everything operates smoothly as the business continues to scale.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily trading operations across multiple strategies.
- Support traders and researchers by improving operational processes.
- Manage capital allocation, execution workflows and performance reporting.
- Maintain operational risk controls and exposure management.
- Coordinate across trading, research, engineering and external providers.
- Oversee operational infrastructure, data flows, reporting and trading platforms.
- Help shape team growth and operational processes as the business expands.
About You
You'll have operational leadership experience within a fast-paced trading environment, such as:

You'll also have:
- Strong operational and commercial judgement.
- Experience managing high-pressure, performance-driven operations.
- A solid understanding of trading execution and operational risk.
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong technical awareness of trading systems and data workflows.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to drive continuous improvement.
