Rust Software Engineer Essential Requirements:

- Minimum 3 years' experience in software development
- Strong proficiency in Rust (C/C++ beneficial)
- Experience developing software for resource-constrained or real-time systems
- Proactive, collaborative mindset with strong ownership of projects
- Resident in the UK for at least 5 years
Rust Software Engineer Desirable Skills:
- Experience working in start-ups or scale-ups, particularly fast-paced R&D environments
- Experience leading projects or mentoring junior engineers
- Embedded Rust experience (e.g. Embassy, RTIC) or RTOS exposure (FreeRTOS, Zephyr)
- Embedded Linux experience
- Device drivers, low-level hardware interfacing, and board bring-up
- Real-time systems, multi-threading, and performance optimisation
- Sensor integration and data processing pipelines
- Communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet)
- Wireless communication stacks and telemetry systems
- Familiarity with robotics, automation, or other complex technical systems
- CI/CD, testing, and debugging on embedded targets
