Senior Rust Engineer - Trading Vendor - £110,000 + Shares
A small, fast-moving trading vendor where your Rust code will have a direct and visible impact on the product.
About the Role
The founders know this space inside out. They come from the vendor and trading world, they understand the problems they are solving, and they have built something that hedge funds are actively paying for. This past year has been a significant one, with multiple new hedge fund clients coming on board and the business growing quickly as a result.
You are joining a small, sharp team. That means you are not lost in a large engineering department and you are not maintaining someone else's decade-old codebase. You are building, influencing, and shaping how things are done. The decisions you make will matter and you will see the results of your work directly in the product.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Writing Rust across the stack.
- Comfortable working across both the front and back end.
- Close to the product, close to the business, and in a position to learn from people who have serious experience in the trading space.
Why You Should Apply
The team is intentionally small and the founders want to keep it that way for now, which means every person they bring in carries real weight. You will have the kind of exposure that simply does not exist in larger organizations.
