We are wholly committed to rooting ourselves more deeply in every place we are in while setting new benchmarks for positive impact. As a pioneering collective with a common purpose, we curate extraordinary moments and honor the soul of every place along our journey.
At Rosewood Hotel Group, we answer The Calling. Together, we Make the Place.
THE TEAM
At The Chancery Rosewood, our Security team plays a critical role in protecting the safety, security and wellbeing of every guest, associate and asset within the property.
Reporting to the Security Supervisor and Security Manager, you will work collaboratively with colleagues across the hotel to maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment. You will combine the authority of a trained security professional with the warmth, discretion and confidence expected within luxury hospitality.
YOUR ROLE
As a Duty Security Officer, you will supervise the Security team on duty and help protect our guests, associates and property while delivering the warm, intuitive service that defines Rosewood’s Relationship Hospitality.
You will provide a visible and approachable presence throughout the property, respond to incidents with composure and sound judgement, and ensure that security is always delivered professionally and with care. You will work closely with hotel departments, emergency services and relevant agencies to support a safe, secure and welcoming environment.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE
- Supervise the Security team during your shift, providing clear direction and ensuring guests, associates and the property remain safe and secure.
- Respond promptly and decisively to incidents, emergencies, fire alarms and other critical situations, following established procedures and providing calm leadership.
- Conduct regular patrols throughout the property, ensuring fire doors, escape routes and emergency access points remain compliant and unobstructed.
- Assess, investigate and report security risks, incidents, thefts, criminal offences and safety hazards, maintaining accurate records and escalating concerns appropriately.
- Manage key-control systems, support secure cash movements and ensure all security documentation is maintained to the required standard.
- Build trusted working relationships across the hotel and liaise professionally with police, emergency services and government agencies when required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
