Exciting Opportunity for a Community Mental Health Support Worker
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Mental Health Support Worker to join the Cowal and Bute Community Mental Health Team. You will work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team supporting individuals experiencing a range of mental health difficulties within the community setting.
About the Role
The successful candidate will support the delivery of safe, person-centred care and assist service users to achieve identified recovery goals and maintain independence within their local community. Duties will include:
- Supporting care plans
- Engaging individuals in therapeutic and recovery-focused activities
- Monitoring wellbeing
- Working collaboratively with service users, carers, and partner agencies
Key Requirements
The post requires the ability to:
- Work effectively as part of the wider multidisciplinary team
- Work confidently to work independently under the supervision of registered practitioners
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrate compassion and empathy
- Have a commitment to partnership working and recovery-focused practice
Candidate Profile
Candidates should be:
- Self-motivated
- Organised
- Able to respond flexibly to the needs of the service
- Continually engaged in professional development
Previous experience of working within mental health services, health, social care, is desirable. The ability to work effectively within a team environment as well as individually is essential.
