Ryder Cup Operations Manager – Ryder Cup 2027

Location: Hybrid - Wentworth, Surrey, UK with regular travel to Ireland
Contract: FTC | Start: ASAP – End of 2027

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in delivering one of the most prestigious events in global sport?

The European Tour group is one of the world’s pre-eminent golf organisations. We are responsible for running the DP World Tour, the Staysure Legends Tour and the HotelPlanner Tour. We also organise, alongside the PGA of America, golf’s greatest team contest - the Ryder Cup.

The Ryder Cup Operations Team are looking for a dynamic, driven, and detail-oriented professional to help plan, manage, and deliver the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor, Ireland. This is your chance to be part of a once-in-a-lifetime project, working behind the scenes of a world-renowned event that captivates millions.

You’ll support the Senior Operations Manager across one of three key areas:

  • Overlay & Infrastructure
  • Commercial & Fan Activations
  • Safety & Crowd Management

From pre-event planning to post-event debriefing, you’ll lead on critical operational elements including:

  • Lead on research, planning and delivery
  • Supplier procurement and contract management
  • Stakeholder liaison and logistics coordination
  • Onsite build, live operations, and de-rig
  • Budgeting, compliance, and reporting

Travel & Flexibility:

While UK-based, this role involves travel to Ireland during the planning, build, event delivery and decommissioning phases (up to 6 weeks at a time) with weekend/evening work during peak periods. Adaptability and a proactive mindset are essential.

What You Bring:

  • Proven experience in event/project management, ideally in sport or large-scale events
  • Robust knowledge of safety standards, compliance requirements and events best practice guidance.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercial acumen with experience in procurement and budgeting
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused approach
  • Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Office, Teams, and Asana (or similar)
  • Golf knowledge is a bonus—but not essential. What matters most is your passion for delivering excellence and your ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.
