They will also be required to understand the integration between their own process areas and other connected dependencies and functional areas. The Functional Process Lead will require excellent communication skills to ensure they remain completely ‘joined up’ with the GPO regarding the approach to and deliverables of the global processes in their functional area ensuring consistency and that all aspects of the E2E processes are covered.

The role is directly accountable to the Source to Pay Global Process Owner but will also work closely with the Regional Product & Supplier Management team and Global Shared Business Services (GSBS), alongside other functions.
What You Will Be Doing
- Ensuring documentation fully reflects requirements and design decisions for the end-to-end solution.
- Engage and coordinate SME input from the different regions and process areas to ensure that the design workshops are effective.
- Lead the work to challenge and investigate potential customizations (RICEFW) ensuring that the rationale & validity of local market/regulatory/fiscal requirements are understood, agreed, and properly documented.
- Act as a conduit back into the regions and work with the change network and local process owners to facilitate communications and business change activities.
- Champion requirements and global template design through the build and test process – working with technology and broader P&OE teams to protect the integrity of the design.
- Support the GPO to ensure that the final global template design is comprehensive, aligned to functional & regional processes, and will drive the business value we have identified.
- Challenge the business on the status quo and existing ways of working within their E2E processes to ensure we are truly leveraging the potential of the system to deliver better, more simplified processes.
- Review process design decisions and address implementation issues and questions about project scope, ensuring sign-off by the GPO as required.
- Identify the steps and activities required to deliver the process design ensuring an understanding of the key processes.
- Working with the GPO, ensure effective policies and controls are in place to mitigate risk.
- Leverage working relationships within the programme and across business functions.
- Develop communication network with Local Business Process Owners.
- Support the OCM (organisational change management) function to identify key change issues or ‘pain points’ that we can proactively manage to ensure a smooth transition and buy-in to the programme.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
