About the job you’re considering
Capgemini is seeking an experienced SAP Product Engineering & PLM Integration Consultant to join our Application Development & Maintenance (ADM) team, supporting a highly secure and business-critical SAP S/4HANA environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of engineering, manufacturing, and product lifecycle processes who enjoys working at the intersection of design, production, and enterprise technology.
As part of Capgemini's ADM practice, you'll help support and continuously improve SAP applications that are critical to delivering operational capability. Working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and technical teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring product data, documentation, and engineering changes flow seamlessly throughout the organisation.
Your Role
- Supporting SAP Production Engineering and Operations (PEO) processes, including the transition from Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) to Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM)
- Managing engineering change control processes, version management, and configuration traceability
- Maintaining SAP Document Management System (DMS) content, including technical documentation, CAD files, 3D models, and manufacturing instructions
- Supporting integrations between SAP and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems using PLMSI
- Investigating and resolving incidents, service requests, and process issues across engineering and manufacturing functions
- Ensuring end-to-end traceability from product design through to manufacturing and operational delivery
- Collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to improve engineering and production processes
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the SAP landscape

Your skills and experience
- Experience supporting SAP PEO, DMS, and PLMSI solutions
- Strong understanding of engineering-to-manufacturing lifecycle processes
- Knowledge of engineering change management, product structures, and document control
- Experience working within complex manufacturing, aerospace, defence, or engineering-driven environments
- Understanding of BOM management, configuration control, and product data governance
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder engagement skills
