Job Description
Within the role of SACT nurse within the Cancer centre, you will be working as a part of the wider team to safely deliver Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, targeted treatment and supportive treatments for Cancer patients.
Main duties of the job
- Safely deliver SACT & supportive cancer treatments
- Perform clinical activities such as venepuncture, cannulation & access central lines
- Assess & interpret acute and other patient conditions, initiate actions as appropriate
- Communicate, professionally, clear and concise with patients & their relatives
- Use electronic prescribing systems
- Take responsibility for concise documentation

Person Specification
Essential
- Minimum 1 year nursing experience
- Oncology and Haem experience
- NMC Registration
Desirable
- Computer skills
- Cannulation and Venepuncture
- Acute experience
