Commitment to Safeguarding
We are committed to the highest standards of safeguarding, supporting victims and survivors of abuse; and creating a positive safeguarding culture in every Church and worshipping community in every corner of our diocese.
About the Safeguarding Team
Our safeguarding team, in its current form, has only been together for 14 months, in fact, we all started on the same day! We are therefore a team in development and are constantly exploring new ways of working and finding new challenges to work through. Our current administrator is reducing his hours to focus on specific projects in our team and so we are looking for a new safeguarding administrator who aspires to become the ‘backbone’ of our team, by having a kind, ‘can do’ attitude.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
