About The Role

This is an exciting role where you will be supporting the work of the Hounslow Safeguarding Adults Board (HSAB).

You will provide administrative support for the coordination of the statutory Safeguarding Adult Review process, which includes pulling together complex written information from various sources, organising meetings and taking minutes/actions, following up with people including multi-agency partners and senior officers to get information within strict deadlines.

You will also provide administrative support to HSAB, including organising meetings, producing high quality minutes, maintaining action logs, supporting thematic safeguarding work and assisting with the delivery of the Board's business plan.

About The Team You’ll Be Working In

The role reports to the Safeguarding Adults Board Service Manager.

Based at Hounslow House, you will be working closely with Hounslow Safeguarding Adults Board parter agencies.

HSAB works collaboratively with senior representative from partner agencies to ensure that adults with care and support needs who are experiencing, or are at risk of, abuse or neglect are safeguarded effectively.

The purpose of the board is to prevent abuse and neglect, promote wellbeing, and ensure that safeguarding arrangements across Hounslow are effective, person-centred and focused on achieving the outcomes that matter to individuals. It also seeks assurance that partner organisations fulfil their safeguarding responsibilities and work together to improve practice and outcomes.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Coordinating and administrating the statutory Safeguarding Adult Review (SAR) process, ensuring the right information is collated, meetings are organised and statutory timescales are achieved.
  • Providing comprehensive business and governance support to the HSAB, its Executive, sub-groups and partnership meetings, by preparing agendas, circulating papers, producing accurate minutes and maintaining comprehensive action logs.
  • Supporting the Strategic Safeguarding Adults Partnership & Specialist Services Manager in delivering the Board's strategic priorities by providing administrative support to thematic safeguarding workstreams, learning events, audits, consultations and improvement activity.

About You

Key for this role is:

  • Knowledge of safeguarding adults legislation, partnership working or local authority governance arrangements.
  • Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience in business administration, governance or public sector administration.
  • Experience of providing high quality administrative and business support within a multi-agency or complex organisational environment.
  • Experience of organising complex meetings, preparing agendas and producing accurate, high quality minutes and action records.
  • Experience of coordinating multiple workstreams, monitoring actions and managing competing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce professional reports, correspondence and Board documentation.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently using initiative.
  • Experience of working with confidential and sensitive information, demonstrating discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong ICT skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams), and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external partners, including senior managers and statutory agencies.
  • Good understanding of information governance, confidentiality and data protection requirements.
