The Service & Team:

Safeguarding Adult Boards are statutory bodies that have oversight of safeguarding arrangements for adults in their local authority areas as defined in the Care Act 2014. Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Safeguarding Adults Board (CIoS SAB) fulfils both its challenge and assurance functions and a supportive role in critically appraising and supporting the development of local multi-agency safeguarding practice.

The SAB Administrator role will support the SAB team and wider partnership by undertaking the administrative functions that enable SAB partners to meet their statutory duties and functions.

The Role:

The SAB Administrator role will support the SAB team and wider partnership by undertaking a variety of administrative functions that enable SAB partners to meet their statutory duties and responsibilities.

This fixed-term post will primarily focus on providing administrative support for Safeguarding Adults Reviews (SARs), from the receipt of a referral through to the implementation and monitoring of recommendations. Responsibilities will include coordinating meetings, maintaining records and documentation, processing correspondence, supporting information requests, managing action trackers, maintaining SAR databases, and assisting with the preparation and distribution of reports, learning materials, and partnership communications.

The role will provide the administrative infrastructure that underpins SAR activity, helping to ensure that review processes are well organised, documented and delivered in a timely manner, and that learning and recommendations are effectively tracked and reported.

The role will also provide support to wider SAB activity when covering annual leave for our other Business Support.

This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.

This position will be subject to a basic criminal record disclosure check.

Working Pattern:

  • Full time 37 hours per week.
  • Flexible Working
  • Work from Home

The successful candidate will have:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
