About the Ann Craft Trust
The Ann Craft Trust is a national charity, based at the University of Nottingham and we are committed to safeguarding. Through our funding from Sport Wales we work with sports governing bodies, sport partnerships and other system partners to ensure that the systems and approaches they have in place are effective at safeguarding adults.
The Role
This exciting post offers an opportunity to provide delivery of safeguarding advice and support to sport and recreation organisations in Wales, through training delivery, assurance reviews and relationship management. The successful candidate will ensure that the sports sector is addressing the safeguarding of all adults in sport, deliver training and offer advice, information and support across sport and recreation.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that the sports sector is addressing the safeguarding of all adults in sport
- Deliver training and offer advice, information and support across sport and recreation
- Provide safeguarding advice and support to sport and recreation organisations in Wales
Requirements
- Relevant professional qualification and/or substantial vocational experience
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Experience of influencing strategic partners and stakeholders
- Proven track record of working with adults
- Up to date knowledge of safeguarding adults approaches
- Knowledge of the sports sector in Wales would be desirable

Details of the Role
- Full time (36.25 hours per week)
- Fixed term contract to 31st March 2028
- Funding confirmed for a further 12 months minimum post April 2028
- Home working with a requirement for travel across Wales, as well as the Ann Craft Trust offices in Nottingham and other venues to support the delivery of the contract
- This may include some overnight stays and some evening work to deliver training
