Devon County FA Safeguarding Director Role

Devon County FA has opened applications for a key leadership role that will play a vital part in protecting and enhancing the welfare of everyone involved in grassroots football across the county. The organisation is seeking a new Safeguarding Director, with applications closing on 14th September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with safeguarding expertise, strategic insight, and a passion for creating safe, inclusive, and positive football environments. The successful candidate will help shape the future of safeguarding across the game, ensuring the welfare of children, young people, and adults at risk remains at the heart of everything Devon County FA does.

As a member of the Board of Directors, the Safeguarding Director will provide strategic leadership and oversight on safeguarding matters, supporting the Association's commitment to good governance, player welfare, and compliance with The FA's safeguarding standards.

The role carries significant influence, working alongside fellow Board members and senior staff to champion a culture where everyone can enjoy football safely and confidently. The Director will help ensure safeguarding considerations are embedded across the organisation's decision-making, policies, and long-term planning.
