Safeguarding Nurse/Practitioner

The Safeguarding Nurse/Practitioner will demonstrate a sound understanding of the needs and risks affecting vulnerable adults, children and families. Acting as a visible role model, the post holder will provide clinical support, expert advice and practical guidance to wards and departments across the Trust, under the supervision of the Named Nurse for Safeguarding and in accordance with national and local safeguarding guidance.

This is an internal recruitment opportunity offered as a 9-month fixed-term contract or secondment to provide maternity cover. It is designed as a development opportunity for an existing ROH registered nurse or Allied Health Professional (AHP) with some safeguarding experience who wishes to develop specialist safeguarding knowledge and skills. The post holder will receive structured supervision, support and mentorship from the Named Nurse for Safeguarding, Lead Nurse for Safeguarding and Vulnerabilities, and Head of Safeguarding, enabling them to develop experience across all aspects of safeguarding practice.

Interview Date - 21/10/2026.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
