Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced and highly motivated Safeguarding Practitioner to join its client's Adult Safeguarding Team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Social Worker looking to work within a specialist multi-agency safeguarding environment, supporting the delivery of a robust and effective safeguarding service for adults across the city.

The successful candidate will provide expert advice, guidance, and support on complex safeguarding concerns, working closely with a wide range of statutory and non-statutory agencies including police, health professionals, care providers, acute hospitals, homelessness services, substance misuse services, the CQC, and local charities. This role requires a confident practitioner with strong safeguarding knowledge, excellent risk management skills, and the ability to work autonomously whilst managing a varied and often complex caseload.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Triaging adult safeguarding concerns, providing timely advice, decision-making, and appropriate actions in line with legal and procedural requirements.
  • Managing and progressing complex safeguarding enquiries, including Section 42 enquiries, non-statutory enquiries, investigations, and Multi-Agency Risk Management processes.
  • Applying safeguarding legislation, policy, and best practice, including the Care Act 2014 and the Making Safeguarding Personal framework.
  • Working independently to manage a professional caseload whilst ensuring high standards of practice and compliance.
  • Assessing and managing risk, ensuring vulnerable adults are protected whilst promoting their rights, wishes, and desired outcomes.
  • Working collaboratively with a wide range of partner agencies to ensure coordinated and effective safeguarding interventions.
  • Maintaining accurate, comprehensive, and legally compliant records, reports, and case documentation.
  • Representing the Adult Safeguarding Team at internal and external meetings, forums, safeguarding reviews, and professional discussions.
  • Supporting the development and delivery of safeguarding training, reflective practice sessions, and learning opportunities for professionals and students.
  • Providing professional supervision, mentoring, and practice guidance to colleagues where required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
