Overview
The Delivery Managers will assist the Senior Delivery Managers with the planning, coordination, and delivery of projects within the strategic pillars for the SAFER programme. There are 3 Delivery Officers positions across the food law delivery model, sustainable funding, and dynamic regulation and assurance strategic pillars.
The Delivery Managers will report to the respective Senior Delivery Manager and work as part of a dedicated SAFER programme team. You will be required to collaborate with FSS colleagues, the Scottish Government Legal Directorate (SGLD), and other parts of Scottish and UK central and local government as required. You will support stakeholder engagement activities, including working with external stakeholders via the SAFER Technical Advisory Groups.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of SAFER programme projects, ensuring activities remain on track and contribute to agreed milestones and outcomes.
- Assist research and evidence-gathering activity, to support programme objectives and inform delivery approaches.
- Help develop, maintain, and publish programme-level guidance, frameworks, and instructions, ensuring materials are clear, consistent, and aligned with statutory and organisational requirements.
- Support the design and delivery of training and guidance for colleagues and delivery partners, helping ensure effective understanding and implementation of new regulatory models and processes.
- Work collaboratively with legal, policy, and programme specialists, supporting engagement with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with programme objectives.
- Provide day-to-day support to Delivery Support roles, contributing to a positive team culture and enabling high-quality delivery across the programme.

Selection Process
