We are recruiting an experienced Safety and Compliance Manager to take responsibility for safety, quality and regulatory compliance within an established aviation maintenance organisation.
Reporting to the Accountable Manager, you will manage the independent compliance monitoring system and Safety Management System across UK Part 145, EASA Part 145 and FAA Repair Station approvals.
You will also manage a part time Quality Engineer.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the Safety Management System and independent compliance monitoring system
- Manage internal and external audits, corrective actions and root cause investigations
- Maintain company expositions, procedures and regulatory documentation
- Work with the Maintenance Manager to ensure safe and compliant maintenance practices
- Ensure the competence of employees involved in maintenance
- Oversee tool control, calibration and technical information systems
- Audit subcontractors and assess component and material suppliers
- Liaise with the relevant regulatory authorities

What we are looking for
- Comprehensive knowledge of Part 145 requirements and procedures
- At least five years’ relevant aviation maintenance experience
- Experience of both airframe and component maintenance, covering Part 145 A and C ratings
- Experience of safety management, compliance monitoring and aviation quality systems
- Relevant training in quality auditing, root cause analysis and Part 145
- Previous CAA or EASA Form 4 approval would be an advantage
- The existing right to live and work in the UK

Working arrangements
The position can be full time or, for a fully qualified and experienced Safety and Compliance Manager, part time at approximately four to eight days per month.
