Build the safety that enables the future of industrial autonomy.
At Kybera, we're creating the software infrastructure that helps industrial sites safely transition from manually operated vehicles to autonomous operations. Our platform combines digital mapping, localisation, governance and simulation to provide the foundations for Level 4 autonomous navigation across ports, logistics hubs and other complex industrial environments.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for our first Safety Assurance Lead to own and shape our safety assurance capability. This is an opportunity to define how safety is embedded across our products, engineering processes and customer deployments from the ground up.
What you'll be doing
You'll become the technical authority for Safety Assurance across the business, reporting into our CTO and working closely with Engineering, Product and Delivery teams to ensure our autonomous systems are designed, validated and deployed safely.
You'll:
- Own Kybera's Safety Assurance framework across product development and customer deployments.
- Translate complex safety standards and regulatory requirements into practical engineering activities.
- Develop and maintain safety cases, hazard analyses, compliance evidence and assurance artefacts.
- Ensure end-to-end traceability from hazards through to verification, validation and deployment.
- Work alongside our engineering teams to embed safety into system architecture and development from day one.
- Support customer deployments by ensuring operational safety evidence is complete and audit-ready.
- Represent Kybera with external certification bodies, assessors and customers during safety reviews and certification activities.
- Help build a scalable safety culture as our products and customer base continue to grow.

We'd love to hear from you if you have...
- Experience leading Safety Assurance, Functional Safety or Systems Safety activities.
- Experience working with autonomous vehicles, robotics, industrial automation or other complex safety-critical systems.
- A strong understanding of standards such as ISO 26262, ISO 13849, IEC 61508, SOTIF or similar.
- Experience producing safety cases, hazard analyses, assurance arguments and certification evidence.
- The ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with customers, regulators and certification bodies.
