About The Role
Are you passionate about delivering great customer experiences and making a real difference to workplace safety? Join our Safety Centre team and help customers get the right safety solutions, advice, and service to keep people safe.
We’re looking for a customer-focused Safety Centre Advisor to join our team on a fixed-term contract covering maternity leave. This is a varied role where you’ll combine exceptional customer service with your knowledge of safety products and services, helping to create an amazing experience for every customer and delegate who visits our Safety Centre.
You’ll play an important role across the site, from supporting customers with safety equipment and technical advice to delivering face fit testing and supporting the hire, servicing, and maintenance of critical safety equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering great customer service across a multi-functional site, working collaboratively with colleagues across Arco and Safety Services
- Carrying out face fit testing as an accredited Face Fit Tester, maintaining learning and best practice to deliver an excellent service
- Ensuring the supply of safety equipment for hire, providing technical advice on equipment selection, and making best practice recommendations
- Meeting delegates on arrival, signing them in, providing site inductions, and ensuring they remain safe while on site
- Developing a strong knowledge of Arco products and services to support customers and influence sales
- Handling customer enquiries through to successful resolution
- Working collaboratively with Sales colleagues across Arco and Safety Services to drive sales
- Delivering and driving retail sales targets
- Making outbound calls to customers to promote our services and retail offers
- Supporting the servicing and maintenance of safety equipment
- Supporting the maintenance of Health & Safety standards within the building

The ideal Safety Centre Advisor will be/have:
- Experience of working in a customer-facing environment, ideally within a multi-functional or operational setting
- Knowledge or awareness of confined space and safety equipment would be advantageous
- A performance-focused approach with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
- Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft applications
- A driving licence would be desirable
