Job Opportunity: Safety Data Sheet Author
Hexcel is currently seeking a Safety Data Sheet Author for our Duxford, UK location.
Responsibilities
- Author and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in line with regulatory requirements.
- Compile and manage extended Safety Data Sheets (eSDS) for REACh compliance.
- Control revision, issue and distribution of product safety documentation.
- Respond to customer requests and queries relating to SDS documentation.
- Manage hazard communication data within SDS, labelling and ERP systems.
- Develop regulatory content for health and safety labels.
- Provide technical support on hazard classification and labelling issues.
- Liaise with suppliers to maintain regulatory and composition data.
- Ensure compliance through change management and regulatory updates.
- Support training, continuous improvement and hazardous goods classification.

Qualifications
- Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Health & Safety, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in regulatory affairs or product stewardship.
- Strong knowledge of GHS hazard classification and SDS preparation.
- Understanding of health & safety labelling and packaging regulations.
- Knowledge of REACh regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to obtain or hold hazardous goods transport certification.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and training delivery skills.
- Proficient in IT systems, databases, and document management tools.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
