Nordex UK have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Safety & Environment Intern starting in Summer 2027.

Contract Type:

12 month Internship starting in August 2027

Location:

Didsbury, Manchester

Hours:

Our people work a 37 hour week which includes a 3pm finish on Fridays.

Please be aware successful candidates are required to commit to a 12 month full-time placement

How can you make a difference?

The Safety & Environment Intern will work with the HSE team here at Nordex UK & Ireland to support with the delivery of safety and environmental initiatives across the Nordex UK & Ireland region. This is a 12-month internship for a placement student who is looking to gain hands on experience in a busy environment to develop their skills in Safety, compliance and sustainability or a recent graduate

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting the Health, Safety and Environment team with hazard identification and audits
  • Supporting risk assessments, safety briefings and toolbox talks
  • Contributing to incident investigations by gathering information and document finding
  • Supporting compliance activities related to environmental legislation and company policies
  • Help the team with environmental awareness campaigns
  • Updating HSE dashboards, monthly reports and trackers
  • Conducting research on best practice, emerging regulations and sustainability initiatives
  • Helping to promote a positive safety culture
  • Supporting business improvement projects
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting with ad hoc tasks to support the wider Nordex team

What are we looking for?

You will either be:

  • Studying an Environmental, Health & Safety or Sustainability degree and be looking to undertake a placement as part of your degree
  • A recent graduate with an Environmental, Health & Safety or Sustainability degree who is looking for some work experience in this role.

Stage 3

If your application is successful in reaching stage 3, you will be invited to attend one of our assessment centres. We appreciate Assessment centres may sound scary, but our assessment centres are designed to be fun and to give you an opportunity to show us how amazing you will be as an intern at Nordex. Our assessment centres will take place in Manchester in December 2026.

Stage 4

Successful candidates will be notified by the beginning of January 2027

Stage 5

Successful candidates will join our team in August 2027
