Purpose of Role

This is a role within The Crown Estate’s Safety First agenda, providing strategic leadership across quality, assurance and management systems.

You will lead the development, implementation and continual improvement of our Safety First management systems, helping ensure clear expectations, governance and performance standards are embedded across the organisation. You will provide independent assurance that our processes, systems, data and controls are effective, accurate, compliant and audit ready.

Working across a complex stakeholder landscape, you will build organisational capability in quality and assurance, influence senior stakeholders and create greater consistency in how standards are understood and applied. Your work will help enable confident decision-making and support The Crown Estate in delivering its purpose responsibly and safely.

Context of opportunity / Main accountabilities

This is an opportunity to shape how quality and assurance are embedded across The Crown Estate, translating the Safety First strategy into clear, practical and measurable outcomes.

You will:

  • Lead the quality and assurance workstream, translating strategy into clear plans, standards and measurable outcomes.
  • Own and continually improve the Safety First management system, ensuring alignment with legislation, ISO standards and industry best practice.
  • Develop a risk-based assurance approach across projects, assets and operational activity.
  • Use assurance data and reporting to identify risks, drive corrective action and support informed decision-making.
  • Provide expert guidance and constructive challenge to senior stakeholders, colleagues and external partners.
  • Champion the effective use of data, digital tools and AI to improve assurance and continuous improvement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
