EHS Managers - Why You Should Apply
A seat at the top table:
As Safety, Health & Environment Manager, you'll sit on the Site Leadership Team, reporting to the UK Head of Operations. SHE won't be an afterthought here. You'll shape strategic decisions on a major hazard site and see your judgement carry real weight.
Own the whole picture:
You'll own the SHE management system, the COMAH safety case, and the site's alignment with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001. This is the top SHE job on site, with the autonomy to set the direction, not just police someone else's.
Lead a strong team:
You'll head up a team of ten across safety, environment, industrial hygiene, occupational health, compliance and security. Plenty of scope to develop people, build capability and leave the function stronger than you found it.
A package that reflects the seniority:
Up to 35% bonus and a 17% total pension contribution mean the reward matches the responsibility, giving you real security for the years ahead.
Your salary, benefits & hours of work
- Up to £70,000
- Annual bonus of up to 38%
- 17% total pension contribution (6% from you, 11% matched by the company)
- Private medical insurance, including family cover
- 25 days holiday plus public holidays

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
