Overview
We're offering a unique opportunity to join our dynamic team at Johnsons Hotel Linen. You will be responsible for administration and support to the site on all aspects of Health & Safety, Environment, and Quality. To ensure adherence to legislation and Company Policies and Procedures in relation to Health & Safety and Environment and to lead the drive to improve product quality. To supervise and co-ordinate work systems to ensure the highest levels of product quality are met and that the welfare and working conditions of the Company are favourable and safe.
Responsibilities
Health & Safety
- To assist in the maintenance of the local H&S policy.
- To attend site H&S meetings, minuting the issues whilst following up any agreed actions.
- To complete spot checks and mini audits throughout the year and report accordingly to the senior site leadership team.
- To assist heads of department in H&S, ensuring that all records are maintained as per the grid checking and updating the T100 database as required.
- To compile a record of the location of local department H&S documentation, ensuring that it is kept readily accessible, keeping records up to date.
- To monitor and maintain accident and near miss records, ensuring any follow up actions are completed by department heads.
- To support Mental Health Awareness and wellbeing at site.

Environment
- Assisting site with drives towards sustainability improvements.
- Assisting with energy and fuel reduction projects.
- To ensure the Company's sustainability plans are communicated at site.
Quality
- To take the lead for product quality and effective management of processes for the Hotel Linen division.
- To be responsible for the monitoring, reporting and improvement of site-specific Key Performance Indicators.
- To be overall responsible and take an active role in the implementation of all Quality and process matters.
- To be overall responsible for managing the chemical supplier relationship, ensuring cost effectiveness, continuity of supply, and adherence to SLA and chemical supply and identify additional cost saving opportunities.
- To develop and monitor processes to ensure KPIs are met and quality objectives are achieved.
- To provide support to the Purchasing Manager where required.
- To provide training in relation to product development and supply.
- To provide training to employees to achieve quality standard operating procedures.

- To maintain a smart appearance and to act in a professional manner at all times.
- To carry out all tasks to comply with Company Policy on Health & Safety and COSHH requirements.
- To comply with Company Policies and the Terms & Conditions of Employment and follow Company Procedures.
- To attend training courses as required.
- To foster and maintain good working relations with colleagues.
- To maintain confidentiality of Company and Customer business.
