Salaried GP

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and patient-focused Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team for 6 sessions per week. This is an excellent opportunity for a GP looking to work within a progressive practice that values teamwork, high-quality patient care, innovation and continuous improvement.

Core Duties

  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care through face-to-face, telephone and online consultations.
  • Assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Prescribe safely and effectively in accordance with local and national prescribing guidelines.
  • Review and action pathology results, clinical correspondence, medication requests and other clinical administration.
  • Make appropriate referrals to secondary care, community services and other healthcare providers.
  • Undertake home visits where clinically appropriate.
  • Participate in the Duty GP rota, providing clinical leadership, advice and support to the wider practice team, managing urgent clinical queries and overseeing same-day patient demand.
  • Maintain accurate, contemporaneous and clinically appropriate patient records using EMIS Web.
  • Work collaboratively with Practice Nurses, Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs), Healthcare Assistants (HCAs), Clinical Pharmacists, Care Coordinators and Social Prescribers.
  • Contribute to the delivery of QOF, Enhanced Services and other contractual and quality requirements.
  • Participate in practice meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, clinical governance activities, safeguarding processes and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support health promotion, preventative care and population health management.
  • Maintain professional standards through continuing professional development, annual appraisal and GMC revalidation.

Essential Requirements

Qualifications

  • MBBS or equivalent primary medical qualification.
  • Full GMC Registration with a Licence to Practise.
  • MRCGP qualification.
  • Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List.
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD and participation in appraisal and revalidation.

  • Special clinical interests that complement existing practice services.
  • Experience of quality improvement, clinical audits or service development.
  • Experience supporting trainees, medical students or other healthcare professionals.
