Salary: £11,056.76 Annual sessional rate
Contract Type: Fixed term – 6 months
Working Hours: 5 sessions per week

About the practice
Steel City General Practice is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic salaried GP to work 5 sessions per week. We serve nearly 15,000 patients across three well-established sites across Sheffield: Baslow Road, Darnall Hall and St Mary’s.
We are a friendly and driven training practice, passionate about mentoring future generations of clinicians and delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. Our team includes GPs, ANPs, AHPs and a skilled admin and back-office team. Collaborative working and development of efficiency in operations are at the heart of how we work.

About the role
You’ll be a core part of our GP team, delivering a mix of face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations. As a training practice, we’d love to support your development – whether you're newly qualified or an experienced hand looking to explore teaching, leadership, or a clinical specialism.
Duties include:
- Routine and on-the-day appointments
- Shared duty rota and contribution to home visiting
- On call rota once a week
- QOF, IIF, and CQC compliance support
- Working closely with our wider PCN and community teams
- Triage and Admin day.

Essential criteria:
- GMC registration and inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List
- Passion for delivering excellent, holistic patient care
- Strong communication, clinical decision-making, and teamwork skills
- Experience with SystmOne
Desirable:
- Educational and/or Teaching experience (not essential – we can support this)
