Salaried GP | Ipswich

Background

This is a genuinely new post, not a backfill. It has been created through the GP reimbursement scheme to add real extra capacity to an established team, with a workload built around a strict daily contact cap rather than open-ended demand.

Location

The role is based in Ipswich, the largest town in Suffolk and a well-connected base for GPs across the East of England. Colchester is around 25 minutes away by car, Felixstowe around 25 minutes, and Bury St Edmunds around 40 minutes, making this a realistic option for candidates commuting from across Suffolk and North Essex.

The Practice

  • Backed by shared clinical infrastructure across a wider partnership of practices, including cross-practice pharmacy team collaboration on audits and medication reviews
  • A broad multidisciplinary team including nurse practitioners, pharmacists, healthcare assistants, and paramedics, offering a genuinely varied skill mix
  • Strong staff retention, particularly among clinicians, credited in large part to a Partner known across the team for listening to concerns and acting on them
  • A large practice with a strong partnership team and a large salaried GP team
  • Rated Good by the CQC, with an Outstanding rating for Well-led leadership

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
